REVAMPING A 2000 TON VERTICAL PRESS
The revamping of the vertical press for the moulding of Dieffenbacher composite plastic materials with a compressive force of 2000 Ton is one of the most ambitious projects of our company.
It was a complete overhaul of the mechanical, electrical, and electronic parts that have made it possible to reintegrate into the moulding line of a large company.
THE MECHANICS
The mechanical work carried out on Dieffenbacher’s original structure includes the addition of 4 slots on both the fixed and moving table, grinding and chromium-plating of the cylinders, checking of the welds, and milling of the guides on the moving plane. All the work was carried out in the Brescia area, an industrial structure that allows large-scale processing with the support of several specialised workshops.
ELECTROMECHANICS AND ELECTRONICS
The entire press control panel consists of the best Siemens components. A soft starter drives the main motors, and the electronics consist of a Siemens S7-1500 PLC complete with Safety boards and a 12″ HMI touch screen panel.
