DESIGN, PRODUCTION, AND INSTALLATION OF A PREFORM MACHINE
For the plastic material (Teflon) production, we use a preform machine with hydraulically operated cylinders that press the previously deposited powder material into the appropriate moulds. The process result is a cylinder of compacted material with a variable diameter between 80mm and 160mm and ready to be extruded in dedicated machinery such as extruders (see our case study N° 5).
PROJECT SPECIFICATION
The entire project, starting from its initial study phase, follows the guidelines given by the customer. Upon request to reduce the spaces as much as possible, we have designed a type of Decauville wheel (railway wheel) able to slide inside the existing caves in the fixed plane and at the same time be as compact as possible despite the load it should have supported.
And the result? A trolley on rails carrying 30 tons with the following dimensions in mm: 1700X1500X380 (dimensioning tailored to the customer’s needs).
